Meet Jennifer
Dr. JC van Velkinburgh, Data & Public Integrity Officer, earned a PhD in Molecular Physiology and Biophysics from Vanderbilt University and carried out her postdoctoral research at Los Alamos National Laboratories under a Top Secret (TS) “Q” level federal security clearance. Her medical-science research career has yielded 39 publications of original research articles and review articles in the most prestigious and competitive peer-reviewed journals in the world. She holds active membership in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), conferred for sustained commitment to integrity in science and medicine publication.
Meet Debra
Debra LaPrevotte, Data & Public Integrity Officer, is a 20-year veteran of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). During her tenure, Debra held a Top Secret (TS) “Q” level federal security clearance. She is a forensic scientist who spent years on the FBI’s Evidence Response Team in the field and on the Evidence Response Team Unit at the FBI Laboratory. She also served as a Supervisory Special Agent in the International Corruption Unit at FBI Headquarters and was instrumental in initiating the FBI’s Kleptocracy Program. Debra has since spent the past 23 years working international corruption investigations.
