Digital Image Forensics
Image authentication is used to determine whether the imagery is a true and accurate representation of subjects and events.
With the documented chain of custody beginning with G2P, the still images and video recordings were extracted directly from the devices on which they were captured, preserving their digital integrity based on the best practices developed by The Scientific Working Group on Digital Evidence (SWGDE) and the U.S. Department of Justice Special Report on Digital Evidence Integrity.
All digital integrity verification testing conducted has determined the digital images as
• camera-original images
• authentic representations of what the images captured, and
• containing no evidence of manipulation, editing, or mishandling (no traces of forgery).
